If your like me, and you follow The Goddess Test series your anxiously awaiting book three which isn’t due out until April 2013.  Just like between books one and two though, we have The Goddess Legacy which just came out yesterday!  Yes this is a collection of short stories. (which I usually don’t like) This one, however, surprised me and I actually enjoyed it a lot.

The stories explain the lives of some of the gods and goddesses in more detail.  For me it gave me more depth to the storyline I had read so far.  Giving it a stronger richness and more layers to bring understanding and weight to some of the non protagonist characters.

The stories cover Calliope, (Hera) Ava, (Aphrodite) Persephone, James, (Hermes) and Henry. (Hades)

We learn  about why Calliope is so evil, (though the ends don’t justify the means in my opinion) why James and Henry hate each other, and most importantly (to me anyway) why Persephone gave up her immortality to be with a mortal. Those are not the only things to figure out of coarse, just some notable points to get you excited.

This is a definite must read! As I said before it adds to the already great story that The Goddess Test Series has already laid out.  I wish book three would come out faster but this novel was a good snack for the moment.

5/5
